Passion Week

Chapter 8—Wednesday (5 illustrations)

Wednesday of Passion Week is often called the Silent Day because the Gospels record no public teaching or ministry in Jerusalem. While the religious leaders finalized their plans and Judas Iscariot agreed to betray the Savior for thirty pieces of silver, Jesus appears to have spent the day in relative quiet, perhaps in Bethany with His disciples, contemplating the events that lay immediately ahead.
